EVERYDAY MAKE-UP ROUTINE FOR SCHOOL/WORK

Hello everybody!

Since school has started again, I thought I'd do a blog post where I tell you which products I use for a quick everyday make-up look.

I definitely don't have very much time in the mornings to do my make-up and on some days I don't wear make-up at all, because I have a hard time waking up early enough. These things considered, I keep my make-up look for school very simple.

FIRST STEP: MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN!

I think moisturizing your skin before putting on any make-up is very important, even if you have very oily skin. Also, definitely clean your face before you put on any make-up. If you have combination/oily skin then you can always use an oil-absorbing primer, this will provide a long lasting make-up.

Before putting on my make-up I moisturize my skin with The Body Shop Mattifying Day Cream. This face cream is for combination/oily skin, so it will moisturize the dry areas on your face, but at the same time control excess shine. When I have put my face cream on, then I usually wait a few minutes before putting on concealer or foundation to let the cream soak in a little bit more.

SECOND STEP: CONCEAL

I don't really use foundation every day, usually I just like to use a concealer. If you're more self-conscious about your skin, then you can always put on some foundation, too. When I apply concealer, I mainly focus on my T-zone(forehead, nose and chin) and my under-eye circles. For that, I am currently using my Instant Age Rewind Concealer by Maybelline(The Fit Me Concealer by Maybelline is also a great choice).

I like to blend in my concealer with a brush, but your fingers will also do the job. At the moment I'm using an Expert Face Brush by Real Techniques. I absolutely love this brush, because it's not too big, it's very soft and it's very firm.

THIRD STEP: SET YOUR CONCEALER

I always set my concealer(and foundation) with powder, especially when I have a long day ahead of me. It's not a very important step if you have dry skin, but otherwise it's a necessity, because you don't want your face to shine like a disco-ball(right?). For powder, I am using my MAC Studio Fix face powder. I think it's a great powder, it sets my make-up very well and it also adds a little bit of coverage.

Again, for the brush, I'm using one from Real Techniques(because I absolutely adore all of their brushes). The one I'm using is Multi-Task Brush, it's not too big, so it's great for taking it with you everywhere you go.

FOURTH STEP: BLUSH

To add a little bit of color to your face, add some blush on the top of your cheeks. This will make your face look glowy and healthy. I use Fleur Power by MAC, it's a colour I think would look good on every skin tone. And again I use a Real Techniques(blush) brush to apply the blush.

FIFTH STEP: BROWS AND MASCARA

Doing your brows will make a huge difference in your make-up look. You don't have to spend a lot time on doing your brows, if you use a tinted brow gel. I recently bought Maybelline's Brow Drama, which is a sculpting brow mascara. It's very easy to use and will only take a few seconds.

Before putting on mascara, I ALWAYS curl my lashes, because they have absolutely no natural curve. After curling my lashes I will apply L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess. I love this mascara because of it's brush, it's a silicone brush and it seperates the lashes very well.

So, that's it for my every day make-up for school or work, you can always put on some lip balm or lip gloss to complete your look.
